Isla's first dress

Grandma was going crazy not being able to get Isla some pretty things to wear, so we took her out on her first shopping trip.  Here she is all dressed up for meeting Grandpa for the first time.

Isla's first date with Asa.  They got to know each other in yoga & both decided the womb was getting too cramped within a day.  Born 4 hours apart & 14 oz difference in weight.  

3 days old & home from the hospital.  Sleep, eat, look pretty -- life isn't so hard!

Isla's Arrival

Isla Soleil was born by water birth with the midwives at the OHSU Birthing Center.  Her official time of birth was 6:30 am (though this was approximated -- I think they forgot to look at the clock right away...  it is close though!) on June 13th, 2007.  Her birth weight was 7 lbs 13 oz, and was 20 and 1/8 inches long.  My labour and delivery went smoothly (maybe Simon waited a little bit to long to get me there, but we made it!), and Isla is a healthy little girl.  We are the proudest parents imaginable...  Isn't she adorable?
